My family and I recently had the opportunity to experience the Buick Verano and it was really the first time we’ve tested a mid-size sedan. We chose the Verano because we’re currently in the market for a car this size.
We’ve test driven the Chevy Volt and the Buick Enclave, both of which I have really enjoyed. I am equally really pleased with the quality and smooth ride of the Verano.

It’s been a really long time since we’ve been the owners of a brand new vehicle. Our newest vehicle is a 2001. Yeah. 2001. It’s been a while. All of these newer model vehicles that I’ve been driving have been sooo sweet. I love the new technology in GM cars. It still floors me that I don’t have to stick a key into an ignition to start the vehicle. In the Verano, as long as the key is on your person, you just push the “Start” button on the dashboard and voila! The engine starts. Another exciting new feature that just blows my mind is being able to just place your hand and thumb on the door handle and the door unlocks (when the key and remote are on your person). Almost lost my marbles when that happened. Do you know how often I fumble through my purse or coat pockets looking for my keys? Take my word for it, it happens a lot.

I’ve always got something or someone in my hands. To reach out and just place my thumb on the door handle sensor and have the door unlock and open, well, that’s uber convenient in my book.
I’m quite fond of the availability of performance statistics, too. The Buick Verano’s options are readily available at the touch of your finger on the car’s built-in 7″ color LED touch screen. Another great selling point for me is the vehicle’s audible Rear Park Assist. My passengers and I got a kick out of the audible beeps…beeping until it basically “flatlines” to let you know that you’re pretty much right on top of an object and, uh, you should probably not back up any further. This is extremely helpful when parking on city streets. Trust me.
Really, there are so many other features that have me saying yes to the Verano, it’s tough to point them all out. Just know, from personal experience, it’s a very nice vehicle for the price. We have really considered purchasing one. Do you like Peyton Manning? You don’t have to answer that. I like him. (Also: I’m a Bears fan.) Peyton likes the Buick Verano, at least, in this promotional video he does. Check him out pitching the Verano:
Love it that Peyton and I were both driving around the Verano at the same time!
