ChildUp – Teach Your Child to Count to 10

These ChildUp Early Learning Game Cards were given to me a while back and I’ve been so anxious to really dig into them with the girls.  However, with such hectic schedules, we just haven’t had the opportunity to put them to good use.  Every once in a while, we pull out the cards and go over them with our five year old.  Sure, this system helps teach a child to count to 10 but I think most five year old children can already count past 10.  So, what the ChildUp Early Learning Game Cards are going to assist us with is helping develop our preschooler’s:

  • Math & logic skills
  • Learning & cognitive skills
  • Listening & memory skills
  • Attention & concentration skills
  • Language & social skills

Now that I have some additional time to spend with her, I’m truly looking forward to helping her develop some pre-math skills.  Math was not my strong point and after reading the 16 parent cards included in this set, I have hope that we can work together to ensure she doesn’t have a tough time in math class, like I did.

My goal after receiving these cards was to help my now 18 month old develop counting skills.  I had hoped to start earlier than this using the early learning method but it just hasn’t happened.  At this point, she is able to recite the numbers one, two and three but stops there.  I am looking forward to helping her learn to count to 10 in the next three months, using the Early Learning Game Cards.  I’ll report back when we’ve made some progress.  This is going to be fun!

Pssst!  There’s also an app for that!
